2025 Takeover Series

HARRISONS TAKEOVER SERIES - WHERE CULINARY MASTERS MEET

The celebrated Harrisons Takeover Series made its much-anticipated return on February 22, 2025, launching a new season of exceptional bi-monthly dining events that showcase Australia's most innovative leading chefs and their award winning brands.

Our guest chefs bring their signature styles and techniques to the Harrisons kitchen, creating dishes that tell their unique culinary story. Wines are carefully selected and paired by notable Australian wineries to complement each course.

Throughout the evening, both guest chef and winemaker share insights into their creations, adding an educational element to the dining experience. Our waterfront location provides an elegant backdrop for these collaborative dinners, which showcase the best of contemporary Australian cuisine.

Our second event on Saturday April 12, 2025 welcomes Alastair McLeod, one of Australia's most beloved culinary icons.

Alastair McLeod is a Northern Ireland-born Australian chef renowned for his vibrant personality and culinary expertise. Born in Belfast, he is the son of Australian singer Candy Devine. He credits his love of cooking and food to his multicultural background, which includes Torres Strait Islander, Sri Lankan, Danish, Filipino, and Spanish ancestry.

Classically trained in Europe, Alastair honed his skills in Michelin-listed restaurants such as Roscoff in Belfast and Da Giovanni in Torino, Italy. His culinary journey also includes experiences in Scotland and France.

In Australia, he served as the executive chef at Brisbane's Bretts Wharf Restaurant and later at Tank Restaurant and Bar, which he established and which received critical acclaim, including a coveted chef's hat.

Beyond the kitchen, Alastair is a familiar face on Australian television, regularly appearing on shows like Channel Seven’s Queensland Weekender and Network 10’s Ready Steady Cook. He also hosted his own food show, Off the Eaten Track, which aired in Australia, Asia, and New Zealand.

Events occur every two months. Seating is limited and bookings are essential. Tickets include all food and beverage.
